Heads up: some codes on this page are affiliate codes and links, including our own (ADAMANDLINDS where it applies). If you use one, we may earn a commission. We put our own code higher up on the page because it's ours, not because it's automatically the best deal. Every code here is confirmed still active by us, but check the list before you copy: a public code below ours might save you more. See our about page for the full breakdown.

Best Instabridge Promo Code • September 2026

Use SP20 for 20% off any Instabridge eSIM plan. It's a public code rather than one of ours (Instabridge doesn't run the kind of affiliate program that supports our own code the way some other providers on this site do), but it's one we've personally tested at checkout and confirmed works. One important catch: it only works on Instabridge's web store, not typed directly into the phone app. Confirmed active .

What Actually Makes Instabridge Different

Instabridge didn't start as an eSIM company. It's a WiFi-sharing app first: its own site advertises access to over 20 million free WiFi hotspots worldwide, a community-built database of hotspot passwords that predates its eSIM product. The eSIM plans are a bolt-on to that, sold as a fallback for when free WiFi isn't around or isn't fast enough. That's a genuinely different starting point from a provider like Airalo or RedteaGO, which only ever sold data.

In practice that means the free WiFi and the paid eSIM aren't really separate products, they're two ways of solving the same problem inside one app. Whether that's worth anything to you depends entirely on whether free hotspot coverage is decent where you're headed: a community-submitted database is only as good as the community submitting to it, so it's stronger in dense, well-travelled cities than in rural areas or newer destinations.

Active codes

  • SP20: 20% off all plans, tested and confirmed working at checkout on the web store
  • TRAVELESIMEXPERT: 20% off, also tested and confirmed working, despite Instabridge's own description flagging it as a new-user coupon
  • DPF10: no longer works. We tested it at checkout and it came back invalid, so we've pulled it from the top spot.

Both working codes give the same 20%, so either is fine. Enter the code on Instabridge's web store, not in the phone app, see below for why that matters.

Free WiFi First, eSIM as Backup, Not the Other Way Around

If you're comparing Instabridge to a pure eSIM app on price alone, you're missing the actual pitch. The app itself is free to install and use for hotspot access, no purchase required, and the eSIM only gets bought when you decide the free WiFi isn't cutting it. That makes the eSIM pricing here closer to a top-up than a primary purchase decision: check the free hotspot map for your destination first, then buy a data plan only for the gaps.

That also means Instabridge's eSIM plans are data-only, no calls or texts, and a plan doesn't roll over or top up automatically once it runs out. Buy based on what you actually expect to use past whatever free WiFi you can find, not on a flat "just get the biggest plan" instinct.

Promo Codes Only Work on the Web Store, Not in the App

This trips people up: you cannot enter a promo or discount code inside the Instabridge phone app. We confirmed this directly with Instabridge's own support chat, which told us plainly that a travel eSIM promo code has to be entered at store.instabridge.com/mobile-data during checkout, and that promo codes "can't be entered directly in the app."

Instabridge's app does have its own separate "Redeem eSIM Coupon Code" option (under Menu/More in the app), but that's a different system for a different kind of code, not a stand-in for the checkout promo codes on this page. If you're in the app looking for a place to type SP20 or TRAVELESIMEXPERT and can't find one, that's why: buy through the web store link above instead.

Apply an Instabridge Code in 3 Steps

  1. Copy SP20
  2. Go to store.instabridge.com/mobile-data (not the app) and pick a country, regional, or global eSIM data plan for your destination
  3. Paste the code in the promo field at checkout and confirm the 20% price drop before paying

Discount shows before payment is completed.

Is Instabridge the Right Pick for Your Trip

Good fit

  • You're headed somewhere with decent hotspot density (major cities, tourist-heavy regions) and mostly want a free-WiFi-first backup plan
  • You want one app for both hotspot hunting and a data top-up, instead of juggling two
  • Your data needs are light enough that an eSIM is a backup, not your main connection

Consider alternatives

  • You want the lowest possible per-GB price for a data-heavy trip: Airhub runs cheaper per gigabyte on most destinations
  • You're headed somewhere rural or off the beaten path where a hotspot-sharing database is unlikely to have much coverage: a straight per-GB eSIM like RedteaGO doesn't depend on other travelers having been there first

What Instabridge Plans Actually Cost

  • United States 1GB at $2 → 20% off saves $0.40
  • Europe regional 1GB at $2.80 → 20% off saves $0.56
  • Global 1GB at $8 → 20% off saves $1.60

Instabridge's US and regional per-GB pricing lands close to RedteaGO's, but Airhub still comes in cheaper per gigabyte if price is your only factor and you don't care about the WiFi angle.

Instabridge Promo Code FAQ

What is the best code right now

SP20 or TRAVELESIMEXPERT: both 20% off, and both personally tested and confirmed working at checkout on the web store. DPF10, previously listed here, no longer works and has been dropped.

Why can't I find a promo code field in the Instabridge app

Because there isn't one. Instabridge's own support confirmed that promo and discount codes only work at checkout on the web store (store.instabridge.com/mobile-data), not typed directly into the phone app. The app has a separate "Redeem eSIM Coupon Code" option, but that's a different feature, not a substitute.

Is the free WiFi actually free

Yes. Instabridge's core product is a database of over 20 million community-submitted WiFi hotspot passwords, free to use in the app with no purchase required. The eSIM is a separate paid product for when free WiFi isn't available or fast enough.

Does Instabridge include calls or texts

No. Instabridge eSIM plans are data-only.

Can I get a refund on an Instabridge eSIM

We haven't confirmed a clear refund policy for eSIM purchases, so don't count on one. Check Instabridge's own terms before you buy if that matters to your trip.

How many countries does Instabridge cover

Instabridge advertises eSIM coverage in 190+ countries, plus its separate free WiFi hotspot database which is strongest in well-travelled cities.
