Heads up: some codes on this page are affiliate codes and links, including our own (ADAMANDLINDS where it applies). If you use one, we may earn a commission. We put our own code higher up on the page because it's ours, not because it's automatically the best deal. Every code here is confirmed still active by us, but check the list before you copy: a public code below ours might save you more. See our about page for the full breakdown.
Best Airalo Promo Code • September 2026
Use NEWTOAIRALO15 for 15% off your first Airalo eSIM. It's not our own code (Airalo doesn't run an affiliate program that supports a discount code the way Holafly or Ubigi do), but it's the best public one we've verified still works. Already bought from Airalo before? AIRALOESIM10 gets existing customers 10% off purchases over $10.
What Actually Makes Airalo Different
Airalo sells data by the gigabyte, not unlimited. That's the opposite bet from Holafly: instead of paying more upfront so you never think about a data meter, you pay less upfront and have to actually track what you're using. For a light user on a short trip (maps, messaging, some browsing), that's a non-issue and it's usually the cheaper choice. For a family running navigation, video calls, and a kid's tablet at the same time, the GB tracking becomes real mental overhead on top of everything else you're juggling on a trip.
Airalo does also sell unlimited regional eSIMs (Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, MENA, Africa, and Australia) so it's not purely a GB-capped operation. The catch, spelled out in Airalo's own fair-use policy: unlimited plans run at full speed for the first 3GB of usage each day, then drop to 1Mbps until midnight, when the allowance resets. That's a real number worth knowing before you assume "unlimited" means unthrottled. It's still meaningfully better than a hard data cap, just not limitless.
Shot on a short city trip to Copenhagen, exactly the kind of light, single-country visit where a GB-capped plan like Airalo's makes more sense than paying for unlimited.

Why There Are So Many "$3 Off" Airalo Codes
Airalo runs a referral program called Airmoney: when someone signs up with your referral code and makes a first purchase, they get $3 off and you get $3 in Airmoney credit toward your own next eSIM. That's why the internet is full of individual people's personal "$3 off" codes rather than one single official promo. Codes like BRIAN0890 above are exactly that: a real person's referral code, not a special deal negotiated with a publisher. It's a genuinely different mechanism from Holafly or Ubigi's affiliate-code setup, which is also why we don't have our own Airalo code the way we do for those providers.
Apply an Airalo Code in 3 Steps
- Copy NEWTOAIRALO15 (first purchase) or AIRALOESIM10 (existing customer, $10+ order)
- Pick a local, regional, or global eSIM plan in the Airalo app or on airalo.com
- Paste the code in the promo field at checkout and confirm the price drop before paying

Is Airalo the Right Pick for Your Trip
Good fit
- Light data use: maps, messaging, some browsing
- Short, single-country trips where you can estimate GB needs
- You're comfortable checking a data meter mid-trip
Consider alternatives
- Family or group where several people share one plan's worth of usage
- Heavy streaming or video calls where you'd rather not track a meter
- You'd pay more to never think about data again (see Holafly)
What the Discount Looks Like
- United States 1GB at $4.50 → 15% off saves about $0.68
- Europe regional 1GB at $5.27 → 15% off saves about $0.79
- Global 1GB at $9.49 → 15% off saves about $1.42
Airalo's per-GB pricing means the discount is small on a single small plan and adds up more on bigger data bundles or repeat purchases.
For eSIM device compatibility (which phones support eSIM at all), see our eSIM compatible devices guide. It applies the same way regardless of which provider you use. We've also written a more in-depth field-tested comparison of Holafly, Airalo, and Airhub on our travel site, covering where each one actually made sense for us. Airalo Promo Code FAQ
What is the best code right now
NEWTOAIRALO15: 15% off your first Airalo eSIM. Already a customer? Use AIRALOESIM10 for 10% off orders over $10.
Does Airalo have unlimited plans
Yes, on a regional basis (Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, MENA, Africa, Australia). Full speed for the first 3GB each day, then throttled to 1Mbps until the daily allowance resets at midnight.
Can I use hotspot on Airalo
Yes, hotspot tethering is supported on Airalo plans generally, and is unrestricted on the Unlimited regional eSIMs (subject to the same daily fair-use throttle as regular use).
Why does everyone have a different Airalo code
Airalo's referral program (Airmoney) gives every user their own personal $3-off code to share, rather than running one central affiliate discount. That's why you'll see many different codes instead of a single official one.
Do Airalo eSIMs expire
The eSIM itself doesn't expire before activation, so you can buy ahead of a trip. Once activated, the plan's validity window (typically 7-30 days depending on the plan) starts counting down.
