The Core Difference: Unlimited Flat Rate vs. Metered Recurring
Holafly sells unlimited data as the whole product: one flat price per day, per country or region, no gigabyte counting. Ubigi sells data by the gigabyte like most providers, but it's built a genuinely different plan structure around that: alongside its "one-off" fixed-GB plans, it sells recurring monthly and annual subscriptions that auto-renew with a fresh allowance each period. A monthly Ubigi plan can't be cancelled until you've held it for three months minimum; an annual plan is paid upfront and can't be cancelled or refunded at all during that year. Holafly has no equivalent recurring product; every Holafly plan is a one-time purchase for a set number of days.

Two Things Worth Knowing Before You Decide
Holafly's China eSIM has a VPN built in. Google Maps, WhatsApp, and Gmail just work without installing a separate VPN app first. Ubigi has no equivalent feature mentioned on its site.
A Ubigi recurring plan is a real commitment, not a convenience toggle. The monthly tier locks you in for three months minimum before you can cancel, and the annual tier can't be cancelled or refunded at all during its 12-month term. Holafly carries none of that risk since every plan is a one-time purchase with a fixed end date.
