Heads up: some codes on this page are affiliate codes and links, including our own (ADAMANDLINDS where it applies). If you use one, we may earn a commission. We put our own code higher up on the page because it's ours, not because it's automatically the best deal. Every code here is confirmed still active by us, but check the list before you copy: a public code below ours might save you more. See our about page for the full breakdown.
Best SimLocal Promo Code • October 2026
Use ADAMANDLINDS for 10% off any SimLocal eSIM plan, the best rate we've found. It's our own code, so we show it first here. The four other public codes below all give a smaller 5%, so there's no real reason to hunt further.
What Actually Makes SimLocal Different
SimLocal runs a "No Quibble Refunds" policy: cancel and get your money back if you change your mind, no explanation required. That's a genuinely more relaxed return policy than most eSIM sellers on this site offer, where a refund usually depends on the eSIM never having been activated.
Support is also worth flagging because it's not what the badge on this page implies. SimLocal doesn't run a website live-chat widget: its 24/7 support channel is WhatsApp, plus email and a help centre. If you're the type who wants to message support from your phone mid-trip rather than dig up a laptop, that's actually a better fit than a chat bubble buried on a desktop site.
We Bought a UK Plan Ourselves
We picked SimLocal for a UK trip largely because of one feature: most of its UK plans come with a full UK phone number, not just data, so we could take calls and texts on a real local number instead of just tethering. That's not something a fixed-GB competitor like AloSIM offers the same way; AloSIM's Hushed-based number is a separate international line you set up inside its own app, not a UK-specific number bundled into the plan itself. At checkout, ADAMANDLINDS applied cleanly for 10% off.

Two Details Most SimLocal Write-Ups Skip
SimLocal sells student-specific eSIM plans alongside its regular country and regional options, priced for longer stays rather than a short trip. If you're heading somewhere for a semester rather than a week, it's worth checking those instead of a standard tourist plan built around a shorter validity window.
It also runs a small footprint of physical stores at a handful of airports, on top of the app and website. We've bought SimLocal eSIMs for years and only spotted this ourselves recently: a real staffed counter at Heathrow. Most competitors on this site are app-and-browser only, so that's a genuine point of difference if you'd rather have someone walk you through setup in person than follow a help article at 30,000 feet.
SimLocal's actual counter at Heathrow, spotted on a recent trip through London.
The app itself can hold up to 10 stored eSIM profiles on one device, which matters if you keep old destination eSIMs around instead of deleting them after every trip.
SimLocal in Vietnam and Japan: Plans on a Named Local Network
In two destinations SimLocal sells plans that run on one specific local carrier instead of a generic roaming partner. The prices below are what SimLocal's own plan pages showed in October 2026. We haven't bought either plan ourselves, and the partnership claims are SimLocal's own words, not something we've independently confirmed.
Vietnam: MobiFone
SimLocal says it is an official MobiFone partner and that these plans run on MobiFone's own network. It also told its affiliates in mid-October 2026 that it had lowered its Vietnam prices.
| Plan | Validity | High-speed data | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75 GB | 15 days | 5 GB per day | US$19 |
| 180 GB | 30 days | 6 GB per day | US$29 |
The 75 GB page lists data, calls and SMS; the 180 GB page lists data and calls. Hotspot is supported on compatible devices. SimLocal says MobiFone covers all major cities and areas like Sapa, Ha Giang and the Mekong Delta, but admits signal can be weaker in remote mountain areas. Its pages don't say what happens after the daily high-speed allowance runs out.
Japan: au by KDDI
SimLocal's Japan page says it is the only provider in Europe offering official au Japan eSIM plans online, and its FAQ says au covers 99% of the populated area. There are four plans, all labelled "Unlimited eSIM" and 4G/5G:
| Validity | Price |
|---|---|
| 4 days | US$13 |
| 7 days | US$19 |
| 10 days | US$26 |
| 15 days | US$39 |
The plan pages don't state a data volume, whether hotspot works, or whether calls and SMS are included. SimLocal's page also claims 10 GB of high-speed data a day against rivals that throttle after 1 to 3 GB, but doesn't say whether that applies to these au plans. Ask SimLocal support before you rely on it for a heavy-data trip.
We've only tested our own code on a UK plan, so check that the discount shows at checkout before you pay for a Vietnam or Japan plan.

Is SimLocal the Right Pick for Your Trip
Good fit
- You want a no-questions refund if the eSIM doesn't work out
- You'd rather message support on WhatsApp than dig through a help widget
- You're studying abroad and want a plan built for a longer stay
Need a real number outside the UK instead? See how SimLocal's free bundled UK number compares to ByteSIM's ID-verified numbers in nine countries, or see our Airhub vs SimLocal comparison if you're weighing the bundled number against Airhub's cheaper per-GB pricing instead. SimLocal Promo Code FAQ
What is the best code right now
ADAMANDLINDS: 10% off all plans, the best rate available. It's our own code, shown first; the other four working codes all give a smaller 5%.
Can I actually get a refund
Yes. SimLocal advertises a "No Quibble Refunds" policy: get your money back if you change your mind, without needing to justify why.
Is there live chat support
Not a website chat widget. SimLocal's 24/7 support channel is WhatsApp, alongside email and a help centre.
Does SimLocal have plans for students studying abroad
Yes, alongside its regular country and regional eSIMs, SimLocal sells student-specific plans priced for a longer stay than a typical short trip.
Can I buy a SimLocal eSIM in person
At a handful of airport locations, yes. It's one of the only providers on this site with any physical retail presence at all; everyone else is app-and-browser only.
How many eSIMs can I keep in the app
Up to 10 stored eSIM profiles on one device, so old destination eSIMs don't need to be deleted after every trip.
Does a SimLocal UK plan come with a real phone number
Most SimLocal UK plans do: a full UK phone number for calls and texts, not just data. We bought one ourselves and confirmed it.
Does SimLocal have eSIMs for Vietnam and Japan
Yes. As of October 2026 SimLocal lists a MobiFone Vietnam eSIM (75 GB for 15 days at US$19, 180 GB for 30 days at US$29) and an au by KDDI Japan eSIM (4 to 15 days, US$13 to US$39). Data volume, hotspot and calls on the Japan plans aren't stated on its pages.
